As we continue to focus on real-world learning, today some of our high schoolers pitched ideas to city council members. One presentation involved a community fitness center, and the other a rehabilitation center. The students thoroughly researched the "what, why, and how" and their presentations were polished and well delivered. Moreover, they truly leaned into our guiding belief of "neighborliness" -- actively engaging with our community and instilling a sense of civic pride and responsibility. #HornetPride
Teaching is hard work, even on the best days. It is quite possible that the internet and phone outages may continue into tomorrow. While it may seem a bit "old school" for our students, learning will happen all day tomorrow on all of our campuses.

This year we launched a combo Geometry/Construction course at the high school to emphasize real-world learning that incorporates math. One project has been designing & building greenhouses for sale and today students turned the first one over to a happy customer! #HornetPride
