FYI: We received multiple reports regarding a potential smell of gas in one or more of our buildings. We had the fire department come to check and it is not originating from our buildings. We have been informed that it is likely being carried in from elsewhere on strong winds.
Last evening members of our board attended the Area School Board Association meeting. They continued their learning around building assets in our youth. Pictured: Chelsea Roland, Kendra Durga, Zac Driver, and Carrie Whitaker #HornetPride

As we continue to celebrate our principals, it is important to note that the role has significantly changed over the last two decades. Quality research proves that just after a highly-effective teacher, a highly-effective principal has the biggest effect on student achievement.
Our principals are focused on both student growth AND teacher growth. They observe teachers and provide timely feedback around teachers' growth plans and best practices. As instructional co-leaders in our schools, principals are responsible for implementation of our curricula with district-approved resources.
Great teachers + great principals = high student achievement!
